Property company Søgaard Ejendomme A/S, had seen its heating costs fall significantly in 2003 and 2004. But in 2005, they were suddenly charged an additional DKK 50,000.
Danfoss EnergyTrim were engaged to solve the issue, and it turned out to be a faulty sensor and a broken control valve on the district heating side, which had stuck in open position because of impurities. One of the effects of this defect was 5-10 degrees of cooling! Danfoss EnergyTrim quickly located the problem and repaired the defects. After readjusting and rechecking the system, it's now running optimally again.
An EnergyTrim agreement was made with Danfoss to prevent similar faults occurring in the future.
