Nybro Gas Treatment Plant

Nybro Gas Treatment Plant is the only such plant in Denmark and is operated by DONG Energy. The gas treatment plant forms part of the natural gas transportation system, as all natural gas produced in Denmark passes from the North Sea through Nybro Gas Treatment Plant.
 

In the gas treatment plant the pressure is reduced and the natural gas is stripped of water, unwanted gases and condensate (heavy hydrocarbons). The gas can also be stripped of hydrogen sulphide. However, the gas is already being treated offshore. Nybro Gas Treatment Plant functions as an additional facility to ensure that the gas is of the correct specification before being transmitted to consumers in Denmark and abroad.
